Convenience store crooks
Convenience store crooks

Cops are hoping surveillance video will lead to an arrest of a group of convenience store crooks who robbed two Pelham Bay stores last week.
The NYPD released surveillance video of a trio of bandits, they say, robbed the two 7-Eleven stores in Pelham Bay last week. The crooks struck at around 1:53 a.m. on November 11 when they robbed the 7-Eleven at 1590 Hutchinson River Parkway. Pelham Bay residents say the robbery was particularly brazen since cops and EMTs frequent that store late at night.
The group struck again the following day at around 3:09 a.m. at the 7-Eleven at 3220 Westchester Avenue. That location is near the Pelham Bay station for the Number 6 subway line.
Cops believe the Pelham Bay robberies were the latest in 17 robberies throughout Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx dating back to August. Most of their targets were gas stations, laundromats and fast food restaurants. The robbers hit a Baskin Robbins store on Southern Boulevard on November 3rd.
The released surveillance video shows the group robbing a gas station. One of the men walked into the station and grabbed the attendant by the throat and forced him into the back room. Then his accomplice rummaged through the cash register. Both wore baseball caps. They were then seen climbing into a green or grey Ford Windstar.
